The stillness of the image of the man in the Dutch doughnuts stall evokes also a contrast which is seen in our society. Of basic Dutch to multi-cultural development; from not moving to continuous dynamic; from locked up to threatening danger; from not moving to continuous change.
'In other words' is a movie that I made together with Ellis Scheer. In this collaboration we were searching how image and text will interact and influence each other.

The video is about the changes in the face. The effect of slow motion creates a different amount of time. With this time it is possible to see the differences in the faces of the two young ladies, which aren't possible in the normal time-based life
